help with Bath lodging
I'm getting desperate for a room in Bath, Oct. 5-9. It needs to be close to sights as husband has injured foot and can't walk much. I called a bunch that claim closeness to city centre, but they are full. I'm looking at Pratts Hotel, 4-8 South Parade, as it has rooms available and is not too expensive. Is it close to the Abbey? Did you know, BTW, that all B&Bs are an easy 10-minute walk from the city center of wherever you are? ;-)

Not sure they'll have a room for you but check out the Kennard Hotel on Henrietta Street.

We stayed there a few years ago and really like the location...I don't remember the hotel having an elevator if that a problem for you but it was about a 5 minute walk to the center of Bath.
Good Luck and enjoy the lovely city of Bath.

I was ready to book at Pratt's and then read TripAdviser first. Yikes. The reviews are pretty uniformly and strongly negative. I know I looked at the Kennard. I think they were full. I'll keep trying or maybe we'll just skip Bath and settle in Cornwall for a bit longer than planned.
