Help us decide!! Tuscany and Amalfi Coast or Slovenia and Croatia

've been to Italy many times and love it We are going in October - two ladies on a tour - and we can go back to Sorrento for a week and Montecatini for another week or we can go to Bled, Slovenia - Opatija, Croatia and Dubrovnik . We've never been to Slovenia and Croatia so that is very tempting but will we love it like Italy??? Some of you who have been to both - give us advice. Thanks

Hi Cherie,

Be adventerous. Go to Slovenia and Croatia.

The worst thing that can happen is that you will continue to prefer Italy.

Cheriegal,

As you said you have been to Italy many times and also to the areas you could repeat on this trip.

Would you rather stay in your familiar, comfort-zone and be back among the places you have enjoyed in the past---or---Would you rather be adventurous and set-off to new places, with gorgeous scenery that are "high" on many Fodorites list of places to go?

You will find the answer inside yourself.

My husband and I never get tired of visiting Italy, but we are really looking forward to visiting Croatia next year, perhaps flying into Italy and then taking a ferry or train to Croatia.

I think if we were in your shoes, therefore, we would choose Croatia. After reading some of the trip reports on the forum it sounds like an absolutely beautiful place.
