Paris to Vienna is 7:49-21:20 or 17:49-8:42. Vienna to Paris is 8:46-22:20 or 20:20-10:23.

It is a 13 and a half hour trip.
The round trip fare is about 481 Euros.
that converts to about $430 US at the current rate of exchange.
It is a long train trip, but in first class you will have more spacious seating than in 2nd class and the train has a restaurant car.

If this were me, I'd make this an overnighter, but then I love overnight trains. I just hate to loose a day of sightseeing while sitting on a train, but the argument could be made that looking out the window of a train is delightful sightseeing in and of itself.

I'm traveling that same route but by plane. I just bought a flight on "Buzz" for $126 (US) from CDG to VIE via Stansted. Flying will take only about half of the travel time vs. taking the train. Austrian Airlines is also running some specials during the summer for that route.
