HELP! Positano or Capri to start first 3 days of honeymoon ?!?!?!
I am looking for a beautiful resort (beach and pool) to unwind (but still sightsee) for the beginning part of our honeymoon in June.
With all that I have read and fodors' comments, I am still torn...so I thought I would add to my confusion by soliciting more feedback.
Please help!!!

Both are definitely worth seeing, but for three days I think Capri has more to offer - caves, beaches, restaurants, hiking, beach clubs, Anacapri, boat rentals, day trip to Ibzia (spelling?)etc. Plus it is great at night at feels like your own little world (be it a sophisticated one) when most of the day tourists are gone. Positano is a tiny village and can really be done in a day, although you can use this as a base for daytrips to Amalfi and Ravello. You really can't go wrong whatever you decide.

If I were you I would definitly stay
in Positano at the start of your honeymoon. We stayed in Positano for four nights last year and then we stayed in Capri for one night. For some reason even though I did a lot of research I had these two islands confused. I thought Positano would be much more "upscale" than it was and that Capri would be more like what I imagine any island to be, layed back and relaxed. It turned out I had this wrong. I found Capri to be like a huge fancy shopping mall. It was overcrowded
during the day and even at night. There may be more to do there, but on a honeymoon I think you will want to relax and just enjoy your husband. My fiance and I are both in our twenties and we love to run around and do everything possible but when we got to Positano the vibe of the place just slowed us down. We spent one day on the beach floating on rafts. We rented scotters one morning and took a terrifying and excited ride along the Amalfi drive all the way to ravello. The best time we had was when we took a boat ride with "Gennaro". He's located at Il Uomo e Mare. He took us to various locations where we were able to swim in caves and dive of cliffs. We ended the day with a feast at a local restaurant. It was one of the best meals of our life. If your looking for nightlife there is plenty in Positano. We had a great time at Music on the Rocks and the atmosphere in Positano at night can be as festive or as secluded as you want it to be.

Have a great time!!!
Jenny,
My finance and I are planning our honeymoon in April. We like the Amalfi Coast and have heard (through this message board) that Ravello is a great place to stay for a honeymoon. I'm in my 20's and he's in his early 30s. It sounds like your honeymoon was exactly what we are looking for...relaxing!! Which do you think would be best, Ravello or Positano? Also could you recommend what hotel to stay in?
Thanks so much!!!
