Help! One night only!
On the last leg of a vacation in Europe, we will be in Brussels for the final day, and will be flying out of CDG the following day at noon. We are driving to CDG from Brussels and am needing advise on where to stay the night. In Brussels, or nearer the airport? I would truly appreciate lodging suggestions for either.

Most definitely you need to stay in Paris or near CDG, not Brussels. You need to be at the terminal, checking in, by 9am.
The train from Brussels to Paris takes only 1.15 hours - are you sure you want to drive to CDG - won't there be a large drop-off fee?

Exactly, the first thing is where are you renting your car. Big drop off fees if you're returning the car in a different country.
Second thing is that while the TGV/Thalys takes 1:15 from Brussels to CDG, it's almost 300km, so it's close to 3 hours of driving. CDG is a mess of an airport so you need to get to check-in 2.5 hours or earlier. And the time to find your way to the garages and return the car.
If you decide to stay at CDG, Priceline is a good source for good rates at the 4* hotels - Sheraton, Hilton or the Sofitel. US$80-110 will get you a room.
