Help on Planning Provence Trip

We are considering trip to Provence in late
September for about 8-11 days. This is first time trying to plan a worthwhile trip on short notice.

I would appreciate feedback on the following:
** Is 8-11 days enough?
** Suggested itineraries?

Thank you for your responses!

Hi don,

8-11 days in Provence sounds very nice.

Have you been to the miniguide to Provence at www.fodors.com?

We visited Provence (as well as some other parts of France) in October 2002, As part of our planning, we put together a web site with our itinerary and a lot of links to useful sites we found. We were only there for 5 days, so you should have plenty of time to explore more places than we did. But maybe this would be helpful to you:

Hi donluci.
I have just returned from Provence and posted a report a few days ago. Click on my name and you should find it. Hope it gives some help, but just ask if you need any questions answered. Many posters gave very sound advice on Provence in the past which I used to build up my itinerary.

Or perhaps both? With that amount of time you could base yourselves for 3 days in different areas: the Alpilles, the Luberon/Aix, and Nice. It would be an excellent trip.
