HELP- Need Hotel In Milan!
We are flying into Milan next month after a loooonnnnnggg flight with two little ones, and would like to recoup for two nights in Milan before catching the train down to Tuscany. Can anyone suggest decent (kid-friendly...?) places to stay? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

I think you will get more replies if you tell us your budget per night for hotel.
That being said, we got a good weekend rate at the Hotel Lloyd, which was within walking distance of the Duomo and which had a terrific breakfast buffet included. Our room was large and the bathroom among the largest we had in Italy. It is in the style of a business Marriott type hotel, but, as I said, we got a weekend rate and we saw families in the breakfast area. You can google for their website.

Hi Gastons,
Have you considered recooping at Lago di Maggiore? You could take the bus directly from Malpensa to Stresa. Beautiful and much more relaxing! Some fun gardens for the kids to explore too on Isola Bella and Isola Madre. I would bet they would like riding on the boats to get there too.
My hotel recommendation for Milan wouldn't work for a family with little ones.
Buon viaggio!

If you plan on staying in Stresa please be aware that bus service is "Departure from: Terminal 1-Exit 4-stop 22 to Intra-Stresa-Arona Journeys from 3/25 to 10/31 every day
Tickets can be bought on the bus The journeys are only by request by 12.00 a.m. of the previous day." The bus service starts on 3/25 and you have to make reservation for it 24 hrs ahead. This is off airport site. Bus service has never been year round.

We are flying into Milano before our trip to Tuscany, as well. Our agent also recommended Stresa for two nights prior and highly recommended the Regina Palace Hotel. www.regina-palace.it/

Kingston,
If you are interested, we stayed at the Hotel Verbano on tiny Isola dei Pescatore, just off Stresa. We absolutely loved it. Great restaurant, dead quiet at night once the boat service ends. Lovely terrace with 180 degree views of the lake and Isola Bella.
Buon viaggio!
