Actually, I only looked so I could correct you: The word is "advice," note "advise"!

"Message: Made you look!!!"

Yes you did. Very clever.

"The word is "advice," note "advise"!

Howard, I believe you should look at the "pet peeve" post, and you will see where the DigitalTraveler is coming from.

Howard,
Please refer to Todays Pet Peeves post!
I think you may understand why advice is spelled wrong.

You did get me Digital Traveler! Ha-ha! I was thinking to myself. "Oh dear God, there's one right now!"

Funny. =0)

Jennie

Oh and, btw, one of the posts on this thread (cough??Brutforce??cough) reminded me of one of my other pet peeves: People with little or no sense of humor on these boards!

Speaking of the "Pet Peeves" thread, I can't find it all of a sudden. I was going to forward it to someone. Could it possibly have gone away?

Jennie

P.S.
This is probably someone's Pet Peeve--when people say threads are "missing"-- but I swear sometimes threads disappear only to reappear at later times.

" I believe you should look at the "pet peeve" post..."

I guess you can't because it has diappeared from sight. Well, it was great while it lasted.

Well that's just stupid!

Jeez . . . reminds me of a movie I saw once where the curmudgeonly mistress of an orphanage catches the poor orphans actually laughing and joking around and screams: "WHAT is going on in here? Is this . . . it this HAPPINESS I hear in here?" before laughing her screechy, evil laugh. Whoever took the thread away must be horrible and screechy like that.

Talk about pet peeves!

Got it as soon as I read the title--good one! I logged on because I was bored and looking for a laugh and I got it: the replies were at least as funny as the post! Remember, folks, laughing is good for you. ;-p

Why would the "Pet Peeve" thread be deleted? Strange, and we were having so much fun. Maybe because someone mentioned President Bush...like I just did, and they though it was becoming political.

Gee...I hope I didn't kill the pet peeves post because I mentioned W.!! Okay...to restate, when *anyone* says NUKULAR instead of nuclear...drives me nuts! (but esp. when it is a newscaster or the Prez!)

I think "the W" was the one who posted the question "Where is Europe located?" recently.
