I would be happy to send a postcard or two from the east of England.
Toucan2 - do you have any way of letting us have an address to mail to? Perhaps a PO Box number if you don't want to give out personal details?

Oh Toucan, I'm sorry to see Shirlie's not doing so well. I can well understand why you haven't cancelled anything. I couldn't either, in a similar situation not so long ago.

I'm sorry for my belated reply. I've been offline, only really on FB via my phone, for a few days. I will talk to Shirley and see if she would like the postcards. She is home now. Her sister is staying with her awhile, and the two youngest sons are living there, so she's got a good support system.
Day to day her strength seems to vary, so I don't know how much she will be getting up and going to the computer, and she doesn't have a laptop. So postcards would be better if she would like. I don't know quite how to get an address to folks though, without posting on Fodors (don't want to do that). But first, let me have a little chat with her. I'll be calling her later today.

I just talked to Shirley. She is very excited at the prospect of those post cards! What if I post her address on the Foder's Friends site that Hershey moderates...that's a private site, right? Would that work?

Oh -- I'm so sorry to read this. Tell Shirley she is in our thoughts.
Only a tiny % of Fodorites even know about FodorsFriends/Hershey. I think annhig's idea is probably your best bet (How nice of you to offer annhig)
If you e-mail annhig she can probably get the info/address coordinated w/ others.
