Help me pick an Paris apartment

My daughter and I are planning a graduation trip to Paris to celebrate her Master's. She had found 2 apartments and was wondering which of these apartments we should choose:
http://vacationinparis.com/apts/id_125.htm
and
http://www.parisbestlodge.com/bourg.html

Which would you choose and why? Thanks in advance.
Valarie

I like the parisbestlodge one best for the simple fact that I like the location. We stayed near there in 2001 and loved the area. It is walking to Seine, Notre Dame...

I agree. You'll be in the heart of the Marais, where we stayed last year. We were a couple of blocks away and walked everywhere. Great neighborhood with wonderful old buildings, funky boutiques and galleries, excellent little cafes, bars and restaurants. You won't be sorry!

As far as the location, I'd definitely take the Marais one. As far as apartments, I'd take the VIP one. Happy Travels!

i agree that the marais location is fabulous.
you can walk just about everywhere. it is so close to so many things.

have you looked at #122 from v.i.p.? i stayed there with my dd in april and location was fabulous - different from the marais.
again we could walk everywhere and we were surrounded by cafes, bars and lots of young people.

Thanks so much everyone. We were looking for an apartment with air, but have heard that VIP 125 is already booked. Have an e-mail into Thierry regarding the Marais apartment. My DH and I were in Paris in May and I fell in love and can hardly wait to share it with my daughter.

DD and I just stayed at VIP #125 a few weeks ago for a graduation trip. Loved it! Location was perfect. We have been to Paris several times before, staying in the 14th, 1st and 7th. So we knew this location in the 1st would be convenient to everything, and it was. If for some reason this apt becomes available, or if you just want more info on it, let me know

mm, I forwarded the link to your trip report to my DD, before we knew the apartment was not available. This will be my second trip to Paris, staying in the 7th last time. I also wanted to stay in either the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th. Just waiting to hear back on the Marais apartment now.
