There are really only two possible choices. One has 10 letters (11 in plural). The other has 6 letters (7 in plural). One is the adversary of the other. Which was was Juliet's family's politics? Give the answer in English. I KNOW that people know this!

Hey guys, before the next word/clues are posted......what say we start a new thread? This one is mighty long, and it's taking a bit to load. A new thread would be much faster!
All in favor of Crossword Puzzle Thread #3, please speak up.

Good idea. (But don't forget there's still an unsolved clue on Crossword Thread #2: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34436852 )
Avonil and I are playing this game on another forum as well. Anyone is welcome to play it there, provided you can post the clues in Italian. http://forums.about.com/ab-italian/messages?msg=2793.1
Avonil asked me to post the clue for her here, since she doesn't really participate on Fodors. She guessed the answer to the Italian version of this clue, and I told her it was going unanswered here, so she posted here to get things moving again. So she will post the new clue on the other forum, and I'll post the new clue in her place on this forum, in a new Crossword Thread #3, if that's what people prefer..

Actually Carol all the words on Crossword #2 have been solved... I solved the last one but came back to the original to post..It was getting too confusing for my old brain ..running from 1 to 2
So let's just do #3 and forget the rest!

Jody, I MEANT it to be easy, because I thought it was basically a general knowledge question and there weren't too many options (just two actually, and one was wrong). I think the ones you've been solving (and the ones you make up) have been really obscure and HARD! Anyway, on the #3.

What a dilemma, Carol I thought mine were too easy and you thought yours were! But then you know Italy and I know England...
I knew Romeo and Juliet ...I knew Verona...but I'd never heard of Guelph!
I did think my "Feudal" was inspired! Even if the U was in the wrong position!

I thought some of Betty's "easy" ones were impossible because I couldn't identify a starting point for researching them, and I know nothing about French pop culture (which figured in some of her "easy" ones). I thought of my Guelph one as a routine English lit./European history question. It's actually pretty amazing the range of subjects we've covered here in this little game, all related to European places or European culture. Collectively, we really know a lot, even though none of us knows about everything.
