curious - are there flights from London Heathrow to London City Airport? Doubt but it would make sense it seems vs a two-hour or more commute.

Is Gatwick just as far? Our plane lands at Heathrow at 7:05 am. Can we make a 12:45 flight out of Gatwick? Thanks.

>>Is Gatwick just as far? <<

Actually Gatwick is about the same distance as the crow flies. But the big difference is there is a direct Express bus between Gatwick and Heathrow. Assuming you land on time you'd have adequate of time to make that 12:45 flight.

That really doesn't make sense....heathrow is far west, Gatwick is far south of London. There is a bus between the two but you add so many complications by doing that...

What if your plane is late?
What if traffic is horrendous?

If you are just transmitting through London heathrow do yourself a favour and save yourself all the hassle and fly out of heathrow to your next destination! The best and safest option is to call your airline and add the next flight to the same ticket. That way if your first flight is delayed they will get you to your next destination. If they are on different tickets and something goes wrong you are stuck in London buying another ticket at same day prices....

yes but having driven umpteen times between the two airports to pick up clients I can attest to aggravating traffic snarls - leave as much time as possible between flights if mixing these airports.
