We have scoured ever book, resource, friend etc. and cannot find a place to commit to staying while in Rome, Florence and Italy for our HM. PLEASE help. We are trying to find a place (not totaly luxury (800 a night) but not all together inexpensive.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Based on a prior posting we tried to book at Casa Howard in Rome (but it was booked when we need to ne in Rome
Thank you.

I am not sure why you are having a problem--there must be 2 dozen good choices by searching this forum. Try these: Rome: Ponte Sisto--Florence: Orto di Medici or Morandi alla Crocetta

I think AD was saying he/she is NOT talking about 800 a night...but I did a double-take, too.

AD: It would be helpful to know your price range and when you're travelling.

Hi AD,

Have you considered the Villa Aurora in Fiesole (in the hills above Florence)?

Where else will you be in Italy, other than Rome?

I really liked Pension Accademia in Venice. We stayed in the suite and it was wonderful. It is a bit out of the way (only a 5 minute walk to Piazza S. Marco) so it is quiet and relaxing. Also the Accademia and Guggenheim are right there. http://www.pensioneaccademia.it/index-e.html
In Rome everyone here suggests Del Cenato, but if you are traveling this summer or fall the Pantheon will be being restored which could effect your view.
