Help getting to hotel from Athens airport?

Could someone please tell me the best way to get from the Athens airport to the Airotel Parthenon Hotel? I believe this is the Plaka area. First time to Athens!!
Thank you!

A taxi will cost between 30-35 Euros.

Have a look at the hotel's own website... they have a map and instructions...

The airport metro line was to close in October last I heard.. you'll want to check to see if it's running before you arrive. Otherwise there's an Express Bus to Syntagma.

It easy and no problem.. There is a bus which goes to the city, to Syntagma Square. It also departs from the Square. Its cheap - I don't remember how much, but it is worth it - a few euros. The metro line is very cheap as well (compared to Australia) if you want to travel around the city. A few euros for 75 minutes (I wish out government would go to Athens and check out the public transport!)

The bus is €3.20 each, runs frequently to Syntagma, 24/7.
From there it is not too far to walk, although with luggage I would suggest getting the Metro at Syntagma (red line going towards Ag Dimitrios) for just one stop to Acropolis station, €1. The Airotel Parthenon is just round the corner from there.

At the airport you get the bus from the far right as you leave the terminal, there is a booth to purchase your tickets, should it be closed you can buy them on the bus from the driver. Once on the bus you MUST validate the ticket by inserting it in the machine on board. Plenty of room for luggage storage on the bus.
