Help from someone in Hungary/Budapest

Hello folks,

I am traveling from Brasov, Romania to Budapest in July, so I bought a pair of train tickets from the MAV site. However, apparently I need to be in Hungary to pick up the tickets from a kiosk, which won't help me since I'll need the tickets to even get to Hungary! Is there anyone in Hungary who would be willing to print the tickets out at a kiosk for me and then send them to me in the USA? I will gladly reward anyone who can help me.

This isn't a scam (I don't know how it could be since I'll be giving you MY confirmation code for the tickets). Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks so much!
Mike

You should recheck your ticket information since it doesn't make any sense to pickup tickets in Hungary when you're leaving from Romania. Are you sure you didn't buy tickets from Budapest to Romania?

100% sure. I guess they just assumed I was in Hungary to begin with. I talked to MAV and they can't send me the tickets or refund my money. If I can't find anyone to help I'll just dispute the charge with my bank. It didn't mention anything about pick-ups only in Hungary when I bought the tickets.

Wouldn't you have to buy a ticket from Romania to Budapest IN Romania? Or on a 3rd party site that sells tickets to/from all destinations.

You may well need the credit card used to buy the tickets in order to pick up the tickets.

Mike - do not give your credit card number to anyone to pickup tickets.
