Help finding apt in Barcelona .. please
We will be staying in Barcelona March 20 to March 25 and I would like your advice on apts. I have found most of these rental companies reading through all the threads on Barcelona .. now I need help making up my mind. We want a 3 bedroom apt as there will be 5 of us for first couple of days. Seems like we need to stay in same apt even though we are only 3 for last 2 nights as most apts have a minimum 3 night stay. We are in our mid-50s, are visitng Barcelona for the 1st time, want to be able to walk to most places, have easy access to supermarkets and local restaurants, safe walking and not too noisy at night - we don't party like we used to
http://www.habitatapartments.com/born2.htm - have read good things about Habitat apts on this site. it is located in Born district close to Gothic quarter
http://www.way2stay.com/Barcelona-ap...en-52-1925.htm -
"Eixample Esquerra district in central Barcelona, on a main avenue
goes directly between Plaza España to Plaza Catalunya.
A 10 minute walk will take you through the Raval to Las Ramblas at Gotico's border."
http://www.cocoonbarcelona.com/apart...lona-en-94.htm - 5 minutes from the beach & Born
the last one is near passeig de gracia (Aragon and Bruc) - apartments BCN - they don't have it on their web site - this one is significantly less expensive at 530 euros compared to the others at approx 1000 euros for the 5 nights.
All advice welcome and much appreciated

hiya aragon/bruc is slightly out of the way and i wouldnt think 530 Euro for 5 nights equals a nice apartment.
I'd expect you'd like something near Passeig de Gracia, where you can change green/yellow metro lines to cover most of the city's sights and its quieter.
example in eixample:

The beach location is nice with supermarkets, depending on whether you get beach weather will tell you about noise. but theres a nice fish tapas bar really close to there (c/ginebra) called Jai-Ca.
Born is where you will find Picasso museum etc.

Born apt. looks great.
The are has a lot of restaurants and
night life.
It is an easy walk from there to Eixample and other places.
The Eixample apt is also in a good location .
Barcelona is easy to walk around, has a very good metro system ,and taxis are cheap!
