Help find Ireland or Scotland travel planners

I would like to plan a trip to Scotland and/or Ireland. I am looking for scenic adventures, Castles, and highland views. Would like to stay in Inns or Bed and Breakfast locations, see the real contryside.

The vacation planner I received from www.2002toscotland.com includes a list of Scots (specialist counselor on travel to Scotland) travel agents by state. It also includes a good list of tour operators. Hope this helps...

Both the Irish Tourist Board and the Scottish Tourist Board have specialist programs. The people who have completed the programs are listed on their websites. These are people who really know the destination.

Kathy, The specialists programs are those travel agents who have traveled to either Ireland or Scotland and completed a course given by either tourist office. It does not mean that the travel agent has been to that country extensively (though some have). In some cases they did their classes without seeing Ireland or Scotalnd and returned to the country of their residence. Book learning and first hand experience are two different things. It is always good to interview a travel agent and ask a lot of questions before hiring one. If they belong to ASTA it is also a good sign. However Chris was asking for travel planners and that could mean someone other than a travel agent since a planner does not necessarily have to be an agent.
