HELP! Can't remember name of Florence Restaurant
Two years ago my daughter and I visited Florence. We stayed at the Apartment Palazzo Gamba - Via dei Martelli 2 - 50159 Florence - on the left side of and overlooking the Duomo and Baptistery.
We found a delightful restaurant for lunch on a side street which I am looking for the name and address. It is located in the middle of a narrow street and you had to go downstairs to enter it. The restaurant was small and quaint with white linens on the tables. Across the street on the corner is a shop to purchase shoes - which I don't remember the name of either - it was this store owner that recommended the restaurant. I had a pasta with duck entree - delicious! It was the best meal we had during our visit and I am desperately trying to obtain their name and phone number. I was looking at the Florence map and it is only a short walk to the left of the Duomo.
Can anyone help?

djparatore,
I hope you don't mind me asking but we'll be staying at the Palazzo Gamba in a couple of weeks time (we've rented a two bedroom apartment).
Can you tell me what you thought about it?
Thanks,
Jim
