Squirrelhead-<BR>We had the exact problem booking for our honeymoon in May (also Rome and Amalfi Coast). We started watching fares in Nov and we saw it jump from $900 to $1300 (Minneapolis to Rome)all within a week. They continued to stay at $1300 till mid Feb when American had a fare sale and we were able to get tkts for $570. I checked almost everyday (usually on Orbitz) for fare changes.<BR><BR>I would suggest that you wait it out and see what sales come up. We've had no issues booking hotels and just finished selecting the final one a couple of weeks ago. <BR><BR>Good luck!<BR>Jane

Keep checking Travelzoo.com to see listings of web deals. This is how I got my R/T $553 from chicago to Rome for August 30th - Sept 9th. I bought from autoeurope.com, but I found it at travelzoo. Keep checking every day.
