help

Hi,
I have been reading your messages with great interest and thanks for info. We will be going to Seville, Cadiz, Ronda and flying back from Seville. The trip will be for 9 days. Any suggestions about day trips from any of those cities or most interesting driving route fom one city to the next would be great. Do you think it's necessary to have a Car? Might it be OK to just get around by bus? How awful is the driving and figuring out signs when we speak no Spanish?
Thanks

You may get more help if you repost with a title that eflects the information you need. "help" doesn't tell us what you need.

We enjoyed spending time in Jerez de la Frontera: tours of sherry bodegas, the Royal Equestrian School Muesum & horse ballet, the Cathedral, the Flamenco museum, the Bull Fighting Museum, the Alcazar.

From Sevilla, you can drive up to Carmona. It's a very nice and old village. There's a beautiful Parador at the top of the hill and the restaurant is great.

I've never taken a bus to visit Carmona but maybe it does. Go in the morning and then take your lunch there.

Thanks so much for the advice. I'll try to figure out how to repost. Are all of the places you mention in and around Jerez de la Frontura? Are these destinations reachable by bus or should we rent a car? How long a ride is it to Carmona?

We arrived in Jerez by train, took a cab to the Horse School, and walked back to the train station, sightseeing along the way.

Carmona is 32 kms from the Sevilla airport. It's right on the autoroute towards Madrid.

I did day trips from Seville to Jerez by bus, and Cordoba by local train. They were fairly easy. They have some nice bus lines from Seville to various towns around there. I'd say Cordoba is a very interesting city to visit.
