Hi, Emma, why don't you have a look at some of the livelier Greek islands- Rhodes, Mykonos, etc?

Or Ibiza?

I'm making the wild assumption, based on turn of phrase, that Emma's a Brit.

If Ibiza's too dear, I think you'll be struggling, m'dear.

What's your budget?

Hi E,

Have you looked at the Thorn Tree Forum at www.lonelyplanet.com.

I think that they speak your language.

I think Emma has this site confused with an SMS text. You don't get charged by the letter here. Spin the wheel and buy a vowel.

What I want to know is how does Caitlin know which sales she has assisted in to get her bonus? Does she not realise that this board attracts posters who are interested in doing their own travel and are most likely above the suggested age of the company she promotes?

I think you people are out of line making accusations like that. She isn't remotely a new poster, for one thing (although I don't know why she only pops in sporadically), and the suggestion that someone could get paid as a travel agent this way is a little ridiculous. People are allowed to post whatever suggestions they want, not follow your little censorship rules that people aren't allowed to talk about tours (or whatever you are trying to impose). You don't run this board, speckles.

Greece is cheap and has tons of nightlife, I'd also suggest you look at Greece. That's a good idea.

Christina, you are correct, I don’t run this board. I read littlejane’s post on caitlin0513 and decided to check it out for myself. I noted that in each of her posts she mentions Contiki, including the website in some. If you read the OPs’ posts and then caitlin0513’s you will see in most cases it is completely superfluous to even mention the word Contiki. Also, Caitlin should realize from posts that the majority of people on this board would be too old and not the slightest bit interested in taking such a tour. If you look at caitlin’s most recent post she gives the impression that she has not taken a Contiki tour before – a little strange, don’t you think?

“I am 21 year old looking to take a tour of Austraila in this upcoming June, has anyone taken a tour in Austraila before. I have been checking out contiki.com, has anyone traveled with them? Thinking about traveling with them? Any help would be appreciated!”

It is not mine and littlejane’s censorship rules which we are trying to enforce. If you read the guidelines, it states there is to be no advertising. See FodorsTalk FAQs:

“Can I promote my business or organization on your forums?
No, absolutely not. Fodors.com is one of the few major sites where travelers can come for unbiased, independent information about travel. Since our travel writers can't be everywhere at once, it's important that travelers be able to use our forums to get fresh-from-the-field updates and advice from other travelers. Please respect the integrity of Fodors.com and our forums, and find another way to advertise your business or organization.”

I don't usually get into these things. I don't even really care if people DO advertise is a low key way, but the nice lady has made a total of 7 posts, every one of which is a reference to Contiki.

Case proven, m'lud
