Heathrow Hotels

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice hotel near Heathrow airport?

I wonder if there is such a thing!
I have tried 4 of the hotels that the shuttlebus goes to and they have all been disappointing.
Someone out there will help you I hope.

I don't know what your specific requirements are, but we stayed at the Marriott near Heathrow and had a pleasant stay.

All the best to you!

We stayed at a Sheraton and it was ok, nothing spectacular, typical airport hotel I thought. Also stayed at the Hilton which is connected to Term 4 by a covered walkway (eliminating need for bus). It was quite nice, smallish rooms but very nice marble bathrooms.

I have stayed in most of them and the Marriot is about the best. The newish Crown Plaza is quite nice.

Stay away from the Shereton Heathrow (as opposed to Skyway). Its an over-priced dump - absoutely filthy.

The Hilton in T4 is good, but tends to be more expensive.

Ditto the Crowne Plaza. Great beds, quiet and we got a great rate on their internet site. Only complaint was that it's almost the last stop on the Hoppa Bus route.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn several times before early morning departures. It's got really comfy beds and although it's on the Hoppa route, the concierge has always given me a ride to the airport. I've gotten a good rate from the United website.

Crowne Plaza was 29 pounds over Easter on Priceline. We really liked it.

Thistle Heathrow was a disappointment--noisy, tiny rooms by European standards.
