We have used homeaway.com and as tpayt says each are owned individually, etc. Apt looks beautiful but there is no one scheduled on the calendar before you so why you couldn't be accommodated before 3pm is also a mystery although getting access is one issue with apts vs hotels. With what you are paying I would want to know about the extra 35E, although 5 great reviews is comforting.

Everything is fine. He has said that if there is no one before me he will let me in earlier, if not, I can drop the luggage at the office and that will be fine.

I wasn't surprised by the 3 pm thing, I am not new to travel, I was surprised because it seemed to contradict something else that was said, but we got it all worked out, no worries.

I have been to Paris before, and I wanted to be closer in this time. I was fine with the area because it is supposed to be quiet, and I can walk to many things and the Metro of course is right there. I want a two bedroom because I am traveling with a friend and it is nice to have an area to socialize then go to your own room. Otherwise I would be in a hotel.

I believe the price increase was a surprise to the agent, the owner changed it on him. It's not huge, although I hope they quickly change it on the web site.

I do appreciate all the input. I have weighed it all and went ahead with a contract. It will work out or it won't, and I will be sure to report either way via trip report.

It's a nice looking apartment and I think you've made the right decision. I'll be interested to hear about your experience with it--and also hear about your trip. Enjoy.
