Have we lost some of our regular posters since the revamp?

Holly, I think the member field in the advanced search will do a search targetted for that member. So, for instance, if I wanted to search for all threads that you participated in that also mentioned Paris, I could go to: http://www.fodors.com/search/results...lly_uncasdewar
I'm not sure if this is by design or if it's an accident, but you can also search for any threads that both Holly_uncasdewar and JulieVikmanis participated in: http://www.fodors.com/search/results...+JulieVikmanis

No and yes. Not entirely because of the changes here, but more because of the economy. The posters who took many, many trips rarely post in thee lounge and you can see that the europe board is slow because the money we had to travel,
some have lost in the stock market, or they lost their jobs in the down-sizing, their homes in danger, with no cash coming in. Everyone I know has been very careful in their spending but also very down-hearted and those would not feel like posting.

I don't think traffic is down much - or at all. So far today there have been more than 130 threads started or topped on the Europe forum alone - and many, MANY more posts on those threads. Weekends are always slower. On the old forum - at this time on a Saturday I'd never have to go back 3 pages to see all of today's activity.
Sure - individuals might think it's slower if they personally aren't happy w/ the format or aren't posting as much. But for instance, there have been a lot more UK tagged threads lately than on the old format -- so someone must be happy and is using the site more.
