Has Anyone Stayed in Aberfoyle Scotland?
Found a couple of very nice looking places on the web and wondering if anyone has any advice on Corrie Glen B&B or the Creag-Ard House, both in Aberfoyle. This looks like a beautiful area. Any input is appreciated!

I've never stayed in an Aberfoyle B&B -- I usually rent a cottage or condo for a week at a time. But I've stayed in the area many times - probably 8-10 times (basically from Callander > Lake of Menteith > Aberfoyle > Loch Ard)
I can't help w/ specific B&Bs -- but it is a GREAT area to base from. Loch Ard, Loch Lomond, Inchmahome Priory, Doune & Stirling Castles, the Trossachs/Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Callander, Loch Katrine, waterfalls/lochs/wonderful walks are all w/i a few miles.
And easy w/i day trip distances are Balquhidder, Killin/Falls of Dochart, Glencoe, Perth/Dunkeld, Drummond Castle Gardens, Lochs Tay and Earn - and LOTS more.

Just looked upthe two websites -- I don't the Corrie Glen (but it looks nice) -- but have driven past Creag-Ard House MANY times. It is in a lovely setting. I've taken photos of it across Loch Ard.

It'sa lovely area. Aberfoyle itself is small, and a bit touristy. It's not a place to while away an evening, unless you're out in thee country- nothing sophisticated about it. But well located for lots of things.
I don't do B&Bs myself so don't know then, but I prefer the look and location of Creag Ard.

"<i>Janis why don't you like Corrie Glen? Looks good to me?</i>"
Me too -- which is why I wrote . . . >>I don't the Corrie Glen (but it looks nice)<< Which should have read >><blue>I don't <u>know</u> the Corrie Glen (but it looks nice)</blue><<
One simple typo . . . .
Stoney Park is between Aberfoyle and Creag-Ard so I've obviously passed by many times but just don't recall it.
I actually do know Inchie Farm. It is just up the road from the boat to Inchmahome priory in the middle of the lake. Haven't stayed there but know exactly where it is. There is a very nice hotel just up the road w/ a restaurant and pub (and it is less than a stone's throw from Nick Nairn's cooking school - an aside that means nothing much in the scheme of things )
