Have looked at a lot of web sites and the properties listed by this outfit compare very favorably with other, larger ones on location, size, price, etc. There is a particular apt. we're interested in for our spring visit, but before pursuing this further, hoped to get some feedback from a Fodorite who has actually used this company. Are you sure you have that name right? I had some dealings with a similar-named firm called Vacation in Paris on apartments. I didn't rent from them as I had trouble dealing with them, they wouldn't show me pictures of the apt I was interested in (I wanted to see bedroom and bathroom which were mysteriously missing from the web site). I thought their prices were about same as most of those companies--pretty high, but they almost all are. I did not use them though because they wouldn't show me photos. My corredpondence was pleasant enough but given the amt of money they were asking, I thought expecting me to pay that sight unseen was nervy.

I haven't used Vacation in Paris, but I did use Drawbridge to Europe last spring when we spent a week in Paris. The pictures showed the whole apt. The price was reasonable - I think it ended up around $900 for the week (one bedroom in the Marais area). The apt was comfortable and clean and the people managing the service were very helpful and prompt. Website: drawbridgetoeurope.com.

Christina, I just double-checked, and I have the name right. The web site has photos of the whole apt., except for bathroom and separate wc. The people I'm talking about are in N.J. and say there is an office in Paris to handle any problems. Could this be the same group you talked to? Pls. advise...thanks.

I rented an apartment from Vacation In Paris (located in NJ) this past Oct. If this is the same company, then I can highly recommend them. The apartment was just as advertised and they were a great to deal with. If you think it's the same company and have questions please let me know.

Oh, if that's the company you are dealing with, missing photos are usually missing for a reason. They finally posted a photo of the bedroom of the apt. I inquired about (months later) and I saw why they had omitted it, the bedroom was only slightly larger than the bed. Still no bathroom photo even though they claimed they had gone out of their way on the next trip to get those photos after I had inquired why they were missing. If a photo is missing of key rooms (main room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom if there is one), you can bet they don't want you to see it (this is true of any firm, not just them). I would assume the missing room is either very small or something else and decide how important that is to you if it is if they won't show you a photo. For instance, I was alone and probably would have rented that apt even though the bedroom was only about 8x10 feet, but if I were a couple I might not have--I didn't rent it because they wouldn't show me any photos. I'm not saying anything is wrong with their apts or them, they may be fine, just realize that missing photos may mean something. YOu can't always be sure of what you're getting when you do see a photo as they can make a room look a lot bigger than it is, but no photo is not good.
