Has anyone heard of this?

I just did my daily check of prices to fly from Minnapolis or New York to Rome. I have been using itasoftware.com, thanks to this forum. Well, for the first time in a month, a new lower fare appeared. JFK to Rome on LTU airlines. Huh? I've never heard of them. Has anyone had the pleasure of flying with them? What are we talkin here? I believe the flight goes through Dusseldorf, if that is what Dus stands for.

Elaine,
I have looked at the website, but I am now looking for information from anyone who has used this airline.
Thanks,
Gen

LTU are a great! airline. Good service, nice peolpe. I have been flying Munich/Frankfurt to Cancun twice this year . Roundtrip about 110€ Good service, nice plane, no complaints whatsoever, would recommend it any time!

I flew LTU also and was very impressed with their service. I especially liked when the passengers applauded when we landed in Germany, lol.

Relieved to be back home from enemy territory . It's very "german". I like them better than Lufthansa. You get 6000 mileage points for intercontinental flights.

It used to be a charter airline, but now has regular service. Good reputation and good safety record

Search LTU here - - which rbnwdln should have done - - several good threads, including some recent. Topped a few of them.
