HAs anyone been in an overnight train that has a bathroom in the sleeper?
I am considering taking an overnight train either from Paris to Rome to Nice. I would go on a 1st class sleeper with my partner. We both would like to know if we would have our own bathroom? DO any such destinations offer a bathroom?

EuroNight train "Palatino" from Paris Bercy to Rome has "Excelsior" compartments with en suite toilet and shower, according to www.seat61.com/Italy.htm.

The new dobbeldecker CNL trains between Zürich and Hamburg, Zürich and Berlin/Dresden, and between Dortmund and Vienna, has "DeLuxe" compartments with toilet and shower. www.citynightline.ch/kategorie/deluxe.cfm.
www.citynightline.ch/fahrplan/streckennetz.cfm.

As Daniel says, you can have a shower en suite on the trains from Paris to Italy But Rome to Nice offers none such. I describe normal sleepers and couchettes on http://www.twenj.com/tipsnighttrains.htm.

After reading that, please write if I can help further. Welcome to Europe.

Ben Haines
