Harrods Sale

I was at the January sale in 2000. It was very, very crowded. It seemed like people had scoped things out in the previous weeks because many knew exactly what they were looking for to be marked down. Harrod's merchandise is very expensive to begin with, so even at a discount things were very expensive. I bought a Miu Miu wooly jumper that was normally $280 for $180. My bf bought a Paul Smith overcoat that was reduced by $500, but it was still $500. The same goes for the sale at Harvey Nichols down the street. I found a beautiful Paul Smith leather jacket that was marked down by half, but it was still $1,200.00. If you are looking for KMART prices, you will not find them here. Im almost positive the Harrod's sale starts January 3 or 4. Happy shopping.

just received the holiday catalog and it says the sale will be jan.2-26. <BR>to reinforce what john said-the clothes will still be fairly high priced, though some bargains can be had. but if you're open to other things we found decent sales in the toiletry area (lotions, creams, etc.). and the leather purses were at great prices-though still a bit high for me since i'm not that into bags. and yes, i imagine people do scope certain things out-as i hope to myself just in case!

THanks John and Amy for your replys. I realize that when you say bargains some think of the blue light special at K-Mart but I've been to Harrods before and I know bargains still mean you are going to be paying several hundred dollars. I think I just want a good excuse to go visit London again. Thanks again.
