Happy New Year everyone, our family is going to do the beach thing in Northern Queensland for 8 days in January. No doubt I will be sitting on my beach chair, fine tuning our one month trip to Andalucia, San Sebastian, Dordogne and Paris in June/July. Can't wait!

Mlle. Do Good and I will be infesting Italy for three weeks end May/early June (a week in Venice and two weeks in a villa on the Amalfi Coast) – that’s our honeymoon and will be a major splurge-fest (natch)!
Prior to that Mlle will be in Porto for a few days in Feb and I’m in the High Atlas Mountains for a week’s trekking in April (Stag Weekend seems to be getting to be a looser and looser term these days!).
We’ll no doubt be paying a few of flying visits to Mlle’s family in Perpignan throughout the year and we’re hoping to get to New York for a week in November for some Christmas shopping (“Gee! Everything’s sooo cheap over there right now!”) but we might substitute that for some warmth in Kenya if the UK summer fails to materialise this coming year.
Plus the usual ubiquitous business trips to Paris and Verona/Padua ….
However, the really exiting trip will come this time next year when, with my brother in-law, I’ll be taking the ferry from Plymouth, then driving south through France and Spain, into Morocco and across Western Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal to The Gambia. It’s a sponsored charity drive…. Only hitch is the vehicle must be bought for less than £100 and no more than £15 to do it up prior to departure!! Hopefully I’ll be able to tell all after flying home.
So, all in all 2005 promises to be a busy year for the passport.
Best wishes to all for the New Year and happy and safe travels!

Here's hoping 2005 is a good year for you all. My thoughts for 2005 are particularly with those who have lost loved ones in the recent earthquake and who will be dealing with the aftermath for many many months to come.
Having travelled so much this year 2005 is going to be quieter, travel wise.
We're taking a short trip to the Galapagos Islands - the second annual festival of wildlife organised by Wildlife Worldwide. Enjoyed the first one this year very much.
And in November we're hoping to be visiting Florida with friends who have recently bought a home in Orlando area. Hoping too that other friends living in US will be able to meet us there for a little GTG.

Mid or end of April 2005 - 10 days in France, almost certainly 7 days in Angers and 3 in Paris. Initially it was supposed to be Lyon + day trips but now that I decided I just can't go to France without visiting Paris again, I think Angers-Paris will give me more contrast, since Lyon is quite a big city, as opposed to Angers.
Then Beginning or mid October - either Italy (Tuascany? Veneto?) or France (Alsace-Lorraine? Alps? Languedoc?), will know for sure probably around June, I really can't decide right now.
Happy New Year and Happy Travels to everyone!

IREGEO, Happy New Year!
In late June, Rome, first time for me, then back to St. Remy in Provence to witness the lavender and sunflowers, then to Paris for a few nights. We will have A/C in Rome and Paris, chancing it in St. Remy.
Later in 2005, we plan to continue visiting places in America (In 2004 we visited Monticello and UVA). Perhaps Charleston, SC.
We are in our late sixties. I still work, my wife is retired. We do hope that there is peace in the world that you all can continue to travel, to enjoy, to learn, to grow.
Happy New Year!

We're planning on "retiring" and moving to North Carolina in 2005. (That's in quotes, because neither of us is yet 62, and me for some time, so we'll probably find some sort of work to pay for future travel!) While international travel is probably not on the horizon, we'll visit NYC a couple of times (maybe we can meet up Scarlett!) and we're semi-set on a visit to the Pacific Northwest in September. May also be able to nip down to Florida to GTG with Kavey again
in November.
in November.

I think I will join up with hobbes on those trips. I haven't actually decided. We may take our first big trip with the one-year old this year, maybe Canada or Puerto Rico. My wife and I are already planning a big anniversary trip for 2006. We have never been on a cruise. I am not that interested in it, and she has always wanted to, so we are considering a Mediterranean cruise, combined with a short land stay (maybe Greece, Italy, Turkey, or Croatia).
