Guided Walking Tour in Toledo?

We will be in Toledo for two nights in early May and would like to take a guided tour of the city. Most of the tours I have found originate in Madrid (Wellington Society, etc). Can anyone recommend a private guide or a guided tour with a small group that the two of us could join? I would prefer an English speaking guide but if necessary can join Spanish tour and translate for my partner. I know that there are many written guided tours that we can follow but I prefer not to be reading the guide as I am walking around.

Thanks! To clarify, I am looking for a guide originating in Toledo, not a tour from Madrid.

Hey Madridman! Yes it was me! Thanks for all the info. We will arrive Sunday from Barajas so I guess we will have to do lots of sightseeing that day taking into account all the closings Monday. I did contact Chairman Drake-Jones; he sounds like a character but the price is high since, as you say, he has to come from Madrid. I will check the tourist Office; I speak Spanish but my partner does not and I would really like not to have to translate for him as I am taking a tour. We have two nights in Toledo before we drive to Caceres; probably leave early Tuesday morning. I sent you an e-mail and want to thank you very very much for your tips; will check out the Zocodover web site now.

Madridman: I found this site with your help, which I had not been able to find when googling. There is a list of guides to the city but who knows how to choose one? Great tip, thanks again!

If you have 2 nights in Toledo start at the main plaza and get on the little tour train that plys though the town, then pick up a map at the tourist office and set off on foot. I bet you'll find plenty of people to guide you. Good luck

Larrya, if you took this train can you tell me if you thought it was worth the time? And something about the experience? I do have a list of private guides but am not sure how to choose one to contact..all I have is their names and e-mail/phone numbers, as listed on the web site I posted above. Might ask my hotel for help but would rather avoid paying for the cut I am sure they will take for arranging a tour.
