Guide to Michaelangelo's Artworks?

In the last month or two I read in a newspaper or magazine about someone who had put together a guide to the location of Michaelangelo's artworks. I didn't save the info because I didn't think that I was going back to Italy in the foreseeable future, but now I am and of course can't find the reference. I've searched the websites of the papers that I read and have checked both Amazon and Barnes and Noble on-line, but nothing. Does anyone else know about this or another guide devoted to the location of Michaelangelo's artworks? Thanks.

If you are in a bookstore, there is a list in the back of Irving Stone's "The Agony & The Ecstacy". I'm sorry, but cannot find my copy to post the list here.

I did try google but had no luck. I'm hoping that a fellow fodorite might have seen it and kept the info.

I have no idea if this is the right book, but it looks pretty comprehensive: "Michelangelo : Paintings, Sculpture, Architecture"
by Michelangelo Buonarroti, Ludwig Goldscheider" http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...650202-2435913

Or possibly "Michelangelo : In the Footsteps of the Master; An Account of Michelangelo's Life and Art for the Modern Traveler" by Charles J. Washington http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...650202-2435913

You might also be interested in the "Artcyclopedia" site, which lists artists' works by location:
http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists...uonarroti.html

Ruth, I apologize for not carefully reading your post earlier. I thought you were looking for where each piece of artwork currently is located. That was the list that I referred to earlier. Sorry!

Most of it is in the city of Florence. David, of course, is at the Accademia there. Sistine Chapel and other works are in Rome. Some things in Bologna, some in Paris and I believe one painting in London. If you repost a specific work, I will look and see if I can locate it for you.

Actually, I am looking for a book that gives the current location of his artwork so that if I'm in a particular area I'll know if something is there. The second book that Lesli listed in her (his?) post sounds like it might be it. I'm going to check it out and will let you all know. Thank you all very much.

I just checked Amazon and the book that Lesli found, Michaelangelo: In the Footsteps of the Master..." by Charles Washington sounds exactly like the one I've been searching for. It lists where in Italy his artwork can be found. I've ordered it and will be able to provide more feedback once it arrives. Lesli, I don't know how you found it, because when I did a search on Amazon for Michaelangelo again just a few minutes ago, it didn't show up. I found it by searching for the author's name, which I had thanks to you. Again, thanks again to everyone.
