Group staying just one night: Ideas?

We have a group of 15 people arriving Heathrow from Kiev at 5:30PM and leaving from Gatwick at 10:20AM the next morning in July. Any ideas on hotels or B&B's and what we could do in the limited time we have there? Thanks.

I would consider simply resting and enjoying the facilities of your hotel, as there is little time. You should think about whether you want to make the trek from H'row to G'wick in the morning or on the day you arrive. It could be quite a long journey in the rush hour, so I would get on a coach to Gatwick as soon as you arrive (or prebook a fleet of cars, but that might be ££&pound.

I see that you are new here - - how did I know that? click on your own name (this is one of the numerous useful tips that Fodors fails to tell you when they send you that first e-mail confirming your registration) - - we'll assume that you have also not taken the time to read the "HELP" (little tiny red letters in the upper lefthand corner) - - another oversight that Fodors fails to recommend to you to do.

Anyhow, you owe it to yourself to take a look there: http://www.fodors.com/forums/faqs.cfm - - especially http://www.fodors.com/forums/faqs.cfm#Q6 - - which I have listed below, in excerpt form, for you (my own emphasis added):

=========================

Finally, create a title - make sure it is concise and clearly describes your message (<b>and destination</b>, if applicable) -- and write your message in the space provided

==========================

Thus, when you re-post - - and you really <b>should</b> do that - - be sure and mention <b>London</b> (area airport hotels?) in your message header.

Best wishes,

Rex

Hi H,

We stayed at the Belmont Guest House, about 10 min from Gatwick.

There are a number of guest houses in Horley, almost all of which provide shuttle service to/from the airport.

Rex, (and all) thanks for the advice. Yes, it was my first message. And I will &quot;re-post&quot; it to give it more visability. Thanks
