I'll be leading a group of adults to the UK at the end of May. We will need lodging for one night in London before most of the group catches a flight home from Heathrow. Any suggestions for a hotel/B&B in central London that might be able to accommodate between 12-18 people? Our budget is at a max of $100 per person, although closer to $75 or so would be preferred. I'm looking at YHA hostels as well, but if we can get a hotel for our budget that would obviously be preferable. Thanks so much for your suggestions!

Apparently we don't have a large enough group for the "group bookings" option on Londontown, but the accommodations search is great - thanks again, lincasanova. yk - I looked at that, but it looks like they don't have availability for all of us (Topfloor was our only option, since it's term time when we're there). You can check the Arosfa or Ridgemount - both on Gower Street and should fit your budget.

You'll most likely have to book in a regular hotel - most real B&Bs are small and wouldn't have space for close to 18. But many "B&B hotels" like all the cheap ones around Victoria and Paddington stations would be w/i your budget and have enough rooms (though no telling about individual availability)

I fear you'll probably have to just contact each property individually. Use the London Town list as a jumping off point and contact each one in your price range til you find a match. I don't know of any sites where you can book for that many on-line. It'll probably take multiple e-mails/phone calls.

janisj - that was all what I suspected. I was anticipating lots of emails! The flight home isn't till 1:20pm, so I think the group will probably take the tube out to Heathrow. So I'm concentrating on places near a Piccadilly line station, though we're open to others. If we'd been flying out of Gatwick I probably would have checked the ones around Victoria first - I stayed there once and it was really convenient for an early flight from Gatwick.

Oh - I was only using Paddington and Victoria to describe the type of property -- there are lots surrounding them. But there are others in Bloomsbury like the arosfa yk mentioned.

janis - gotcha. Good to have a comparison point! yk - thanks for that suggestion! The ones most convenient for us have gotten more bad reviews on TripAdvisor than the Arosfa or Ridgemount (or any of the ones on Londontown I've looked at so far), so I might try those first. But I'll keep that option in mind.
