Greenwich lunch suitable for children

Apologize if this has been covered but any recommmendations for a lunch place in Greenwich for four adults and three kids ages 8,6 and 3? A pub would be fine or any other nice place but not too stuffy. Thanks

I'm going to be in Greenwich in October and was recommended the Plume of Feathers (http://www.plume-of-feathers.co.uk/) as a family friendly pub. Hope this helps.

We ate at a cafe right across from the Observatory that was pretty decent. Good place to eat if you have nice weather as they have lots of outdoor seating.

The Feathers is a cracking pub indeed.

Also the town centre is full of restaurants and all of them apart from the Eagle (tres snooty) are child friendly.

It's easier to list the rubbish pubs in greenwich - the clockhouse and the auctioneer (and the Powder monkey and The Rose and Crown are gay pubs and don't welcome kids). The rest are good to excellent.

Ther is a pub called The Yatch that overlooks the River Thames. It serves very good fish and chips, among other things.

The Yacht
5-7 Crane Street
Greenwich
SE10 9NP
tel: 02088580175

It's right next door to the Trafalgar Tavern.

On a nice day, continue walking past the Yatch and past the power station, until you come to the Cutty Sark Tavern, trading since 1695. This has outdoor tables overlooking the river.

Cutty Sark Tavern
4-6 Ballast Quay
London, SE10 9PD

You've checked them all out already?

Yes I've checked them all - even the gay ones.

I even got paid to do it. Talk about taking one for the team.

You might want to reword that last post.

Carrybean, you're assuming someone would want to give him one. I think we should let this conversation drop....

Yes, it's rapidly departing from the "suitable for children" part of the thread...
