Greek Islands--best nightlife for mature adults?
Can anyone comment on which Greek Isles have the best nightlife for the "over 50" crowd? Any type of nightlife that isn't "wild" and directed at the "party-hearty" crowd, that is. This would be for a potential trip in September, so I know the night scene will be different then. Thanks.

By your OP i thought you meant ribald - only for mature viewers type thing - and was going to recommend Mykonos, which swings either way. So in your real context Mykonos is one island to avoid - the opposite of what you are looking for.
Stay away from any island that appeals to young British lager louts.

Just what is the best nightlife for the "over 50" crowd? Bingo? Checkers? \/
Santorini Mou's (in Oia) owner, Mihalis serenades his guests with Greek music at dinnertime. Sometimes other musicians and dancers join in.

luckily Palenque, Mykonos doesnt have those (any nationality) lager louts. It's pricey and awkward for some to get there, and do you have any idea how much a lager costs on that island, one of Greece's most expensive?? And thank goodness for that, I say.

Goodness--I certainly wasn't referring to bingo and checkers! I do hope brotherleelove was kidding! What I mean is things like tavernas with music, lively (but not wild/roudy)plazas--towns or villages that have activity till late at night, but aren't dominated by those drunken Brits that you refer to.

Sueswny, in September you can find the atmosphere you are looking for on just about any Greek Island. August is party time, and even then not much happens before midnight. I don't know about checkers, but I've seen some pretty heated backgammon games. ;-)
