Greek Island Ferry Schedules - Not Available Yet for April?
Hi,
My travel agent has been trying to book us the ferry from Crete to Santorini. She says schedules and fares are not available yet, and suggests we book a flight back to Athens and then back to the island. This doesn't make sense to me. What do you suggest? Does anybody know where I can find a link for schedules/fares for late April? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have booked ferries and a flight through Danae Travel Bureau which I contacted directly through the following website. These trips are for the Cyclades late this May.

I ended up emailing them with my requirements and received a very prompt reply with all the information I needed. One thing, I've booked the slower ferries, the high speed ferries can't be booked till May. They will either send the tickets (for a fee) to you home or the hotel where you're staying or they can be picked up from their office in Athens.

http://www.gtp.gr/RoutesResults.asp?...GRSKY22,3125,6 shows ferries running from Crete to Santorini on Thursdays and Sundays during April. This is typical of the winter schedule. Things will begin to change around the end of the month, when ferry companies start gearing up for the summer season. You probably couldn't book the highspeeds for April because there aren't any.

BTW, Dreamer2, going back to Athens to get from Crete to Santorini isn't as crazy as it sounds. That may be the only way to go between the two on the day you plan to travel.
There are islands in the Cyclades you can actually see on the horizon, but can't reach by direct ferry link even in the summer.
