Any time after your arrival on Ios, no rush. Apart from a few key holiday dates I have never booked a ferry in advance, just turned up & bought a ticket about an hour or so before the ferry departs I can understand you wanting to be reassured you have the booking, so up 24 hours before would make you feel more comfortable rather than doing it my way Just locate the nearest place to buy them & do it at your convenience.

Hello Coolmover,
you can always check online and buy at your convenience. yiassas1 is right, apart from a few key holiday dates you wan't have a problem booking just before the ferry departs.
