Tallinn is a lovely lovely city. It's a bit like a small version of Prague in so far as it has a wonderful historic centre with ancient and beautiful buildings. The people are extremely friendly, and the food and drink, while cheap, is excellent... On the negative side, there probably isn't much to keep the interest beyond a long weekend, but then you could always take a coach from there to St Petersburg, about 7 hours away, (which is another strange city with some ugly parts, some beautiful parts) or a ferry up to Helsinki (about four hours)...

I'm trying to think of one that Isn't and I can't think of any. I walked through almost all of them and enjoyed them all.
