Great new in-expensive Paris restaurant
I had lunch at Septime in the 11th arrondissement last week and it was excellent value and market fresh produce. Euro26 for the menu and a glass of wine.
Entree was lighted pan fried squid with chorizo sausage and salad
Main course was duck cooked perfectly and the most amazing carrot puree and roasted cabbage
Dessert my friend had fruit and sorbets, I had cheese
She had a glass of white, I had a glass of red.
Do book in advance, but really worth it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ran across a blog entry (for those who read French) from Gilles Pulowski who writes the Pudlo guides:

There is a small menu with a couple of choices of entreés, mains and desserts. It's been open only four months, so it may get very popular or more expensive with time. The food was very very good, incredibly fresh and well cooked. Staff were friendly, relaxed place. Would go back again.

I had it on my list for November glad to hear a personal review. Here is the review that had me put it on my list!

I think that is a good price for a full meal for all courses and including the wine. Now what was served is not of any interest to me, I don't care for sausage or duck, but it seems a pretty good price to me and I'd put it in the inexpensive category. One of my favorite restaurants in now charging around 30 euro for all that, and it isn't in one of the central arrondisements, either.

I will add it to the list for my March trip to Paris. Of course I have more restaurants then the 5 nights I have will be in Paris. Then probably there will be half a dozen new places opening up between now and then. Tough choices to be made.
