My husband and I have been considering a Europe River cruise next year. I receive info from GCT weekly. I am so glad this has been posted. I was strongly considering them but I will think twice now. Thanks for sharing!! It just doesn't sound right what they are doing!

I'ts not just GCT that cancels or bupms people from tours. I think all tour companies put in their fine print that they can cancel a tour or bump you to another tour if not enough people sign up for that particular tour. Some companies list a few tours as guaranteed departures. If you use a tour company read the fine print before you book.

There is nothing in OAT's fine print about their policy of overbooking! Nor their right to bump. I have only traveled with two tour companies and they were both specialised birding companies. VENT and WINGS. Both of them put people on a waiting list when the tour is full and do not overbook.

We have been on a dozen Grand Circle trips and have been delighted with each one. They fill so fast that I can/t imagine them not running a trip because of lack of customers. If you do follow up if there is a problem I am sure they will take care of you
