:-)) :-)) VRBO Listing

Occasionally I go through VRBO, just to check out listings that sound interesting. Today I came across this one in Paris, and I am still laughing ..

"Looking for a peaceful quiet place to get away from it all? A most healing and productive space, this apartment offers a long history of creativity and love ......."

"This elegantly furnished atelier, in the 14th arrondisment overlooks the historic Montparnasse Cemetary........."

I would hope that it is peaceful and quiet, but I'm not quite ready to get away from it all.

Have you seen any funny listings?

Nina

Nina,
I saw that one, too- LOL!
Not to stereotype the "new-agey" types, but I wasn't surprised to see that the owners are from California....

No offense intended!

Yes, yes yes!! Please check out VRBO listing 38305 ("Luxury New Villa..." - near St. Remy de Provence), and take the time to read it carefully all the way through. More gems than I can possibly describe here, but the "sacro-holy nap of after-lunch" is a classic!

No offense taken! Just a little sibling rivalry between the north and south.

Anyone else seen any humerous listings?

I see what you mean.... but I do consider Parisian cemeteries to be like "parks" so that would actually appeal to me!

laughingd2,

Oh my...
> table to be eaten for 10 safe from the covered kitchen

>quite simply to give up itself with the sacro-holy nap of after-lunch!

That's priceless!

Laughing2 ... that place sounds fabulous, well maybe not the Olivedas (sp) room, I'd feel like I want to jump into a martini. I've saved it for a future stay in that area.

My own problem regarding the changing table part is, that it is for 'provided children'. Been there, seen it, done it, and don't want to do it again. Do you think that the kids come with the house?

I do like that I have the option 'but you must ask for animals'.

Actually, it must have been very difficult for them to write that in English, probably from a dictionary or with an electronic translator. I would never attempt something like that in a foreign language. Don't mean to sound like I'm lecturing, I do see the humor in it.

Yes, I can definitely see myself there.
