Gorges du Tarn- No car...?

Hi there,

I would love to take a day trip to the Gorges du Tarn while in the south of France, but do not want to drive. I wouldn't think there is train access, but does anyone know of any day tours I might be able to take that leave from or near Montpellier (I will also be in Avignon, Arles and Nimes)?

Appreciate your insight!

it's a lovely drive, worth renting a car.

That actually does not look like a bad tour, and less expensive than I would expect.

I agree, that tour looks great to me. Sometimes it is more relaxing to NOT be the driver or deal with a car, actually. YOu can obviously see the same things from the window in a small group like that, and it may be easier and more efficient.

Those of us who use cars of course think of all of the little places where a car can pull off for a break and a better view, which the buses can never do. But obviously being able to take a boat trip on the river itself will trump a car any time... as long as the weather is nice.
