Good web site for driving directions in Germany?

I want to get an idea how long it takes to drive between a few places in Germany - does anyone know of a site with a good mapping program on it, something similar to Yahoo maps?

Thanks.

We've used Michelin maps successfully for many years. Their website is:

www.viamichelin.com

Viamichelin on line maps are OK, but beware their written directions.

viamichelin.com, mappy.com, and maporama.com are all similar and should work for most European routes.

You may also find "Brian's Guide to Getting Around germany" worthwhile for general driving tips, at:

I use both mappy and viamichelin. Mappy is neat, because it also has pedestrian routes within cities, so you can input several sites in a city which you want to visit, and it will map them out in optimized order (an option you select).

I just used both mappy and via michellin. Those do well-except when things go awry. They closed the Alpenstrasse at Rupholding-and then things went south quick. Printouts are fine, but always have a map to counter the ongoing everyday problems that arise. the descriptions seemed off quite often while I was driving. Maps. Maps and more maps.

I use map24.com. Very neat, check it out. Excellent directions.
