Hi Irka,

We had some good, casual pizza/pasta at Ciao Ciao Grande on Linnegatan downtown. Small corner restaurant - you'll likely want reservations so ask at your hotel. There is also a large "food hall" - the Saluhall - that you could visit for that European experience. The travel guides on this board also list some nice restaurants, but food is pricey in Sweden, so we opted for less expensive fare. Enjoy!

A really cheap, filling option is Cafe Panorama at the top of Kulturhuset. You get a main course and access to salad bar. I just checked my notes and lunch was under $10.

There're three (?) restaurants by the Opera House. We went to the cheapest one called Barfickan. It's decorated in the style of a pub, but the food is quite decent (among other things, you can get Swedish meatballs here).

I wanted to try a restaurant called Mistral, but it was all booked up. Instead, we went to Lux Stockholm. They both have one Michelin star. Lux is an easy bus ride away.

I read the article, and if I remember correctly, both Mistral and Lux were recommended.

I think F12 (?) is also recommended, but Time Out Stockholm didn't think much of this restaurant.

Gondolen looks very nice, although we can't vouch for the food. We like Serwito, Regeringsgatan 77, for Italian and the restaurant at the Vasa museum is quite nice if you are touring.
