Please do share your lodging budget; you'll get better suggestions if you do.
In the meantime, check the YHA properties in London - www.yha.org.uk

Too early for the halls. A triple with shared bath at the place I stay - http://www.ridgemounthotel.co.uk/prices - is a little over your limit. You might see if there is a deal at one of the chains - Premier or Travelodge - otherwise it will probably need to be a hostel. Try hostelworld.com, eurocheapo.com and booking.com.

Luckily the £ and € are down a bit vs the $
But $100 is still really low for a triple. Today that would be about £65 and €89 (could go up or down depending on the exchange rate) . That's definitely not 'moderate'.
$150 (£95/€130-ish) will be more doable but still pretty low - especially in London.
Jump on the travelodge website ASAP and see if there are any deals - they tend to be VERY date-specific. So one night might be £70 and the next night £120.
