Going to be traveling to Berlin in July and will be staying with some friends.

Wanted to know if any locals can give me a couple of places where I can buy some gluten-free food or should I just bring my own?

There are quite a few natural / organic grocery stores that offer gluten free food in the neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg that we used on our trip this past year.

The biggest one (I think it was called BioMarkt or something) I can remember is right at the Rosa Luxumburg Ubahn stop on the U2 line, you can't miss it.

I can't remember the exact streets for the others, but you'll find them if you head toward the area of Kollwitzplatz. Just ask the locals.

There's also a nice green market on Saturdays and Thursdays in Kollwitzplatz.

You may also want to post this question on Tripadvisor's Berlin Forum, as there are many Berlin posters who could help you with finding places in their own neighborhoods.

A couple of weeks ago at a graduation party I met a German family that was going to be moving back to Munich in July and during our conversation that afternoon I found out their son has the same gluten issue as me. She showed me a German brand food that was gluten free but I forgot to write the name down.
