It's arrogant to think that we humans can change the climate of a planet that has recovered from major cataclysmic events over it's history. Of course, the climate is changing; that's what it has been doing for millions of years and will continue to do long after we have obliterated ourselves.
One volcanic eruption can put more pollutants into the atmosphere than all of the automobiles on the globe.
I'm all for not wasting our resources and for clean water, etc. but don't think a few feel good policies by either political party is going to change much of anything -- except to make everything cost more which will in turn effect our ability to compete against those countries that do not abide by any such policies.
