Glastonbury vs Bath

"I profoundly disagree...I give another vote to working Wells into the itinerary if the OP decides to go to Glastonbury."
Color me baffled. How do we profoundly disagree, annhig? No, no harm at all in pointing out nearby places. My last sentence: "Add additions in the vicinity, but not disregard their reasoning entirely, even if it differs from our own inclinations."

Hello Everyone, Thank you so much for your input. You have convinced me. I will take a morning side trip to Glastonbury during my visit to Bath (if the weather looks like it will permit a climb up the Tor). If weather is poor I will just stay in Bath. The next day while I am driving from Bath to Exeter Airport I will stop at Wells Cathedral. I know it technically makes more sense to make this all one road trip but timing doesn't work. Trip report to follow in May to let you know what a newbie thought of both cathedrals.
Glad my post could be a reason for a cup of tea.

Me too, MmeP. my family think I'm a real philistine as they like those big leaved fancy blends but give me a good cup of PG tips any day.
Glad that your trip is taking shape, Kinlock. Have you decided where to stay on the Scillies?

Hi, Getting excited now that trip is close. While on the Scillies I will be spending 2 nights on Tresco at The New Inn and 2 nights at Sylina Guesthouse on St Mary's. Even booking 6 months in advance it is not easy to get accomadations on the Islands. Most places the room price is based on double occupancy and no discount for single.

glad to hear that things are coming together, Kinloch. The New Inn is a very nice place to eat - I've never slept there but I'm sure it's fine, and there won't be much traffic noise, though you might want to shoot the seagulls!
I don't know the Sylina Guesthouse at all, but nothing is very far away from anything else in St Mary's.
