Of course! Something in town, basic ammenities (shower, bathroom, bed in individual rooms). Not looking for anything extravagant.. Price range 80-130 Euro.. Good enough for a few youngsters looking for a decent place to rest between days..

In Glasgow, I stayed in the West End, at the Sandyford www.sandyfordhotelglasgow.com

Gets a 4.7 out of 5 score here on Rants & Raves, as well as good reviews on tripadvisor. I liked it very much, and thought it was great value for money. The group has a few otehr similar hotels, at slightly higher rates in the City center.

In Edinburgh, The Radisson SAS hotel which is a good 4 star on the royal mile , 4 min walk to princess street same to castle and close to grassmarket where most bars and pubs are. room rates are about 130 euro. or the Bruntsfield hotel which is also a 4 star central and rom rates are about 120 euro. In Glasgow The Novotel is a good option nice hotel however rooms are quite simple but has all mod cons. rrom rate about 82 euro

Friends of mine usually stay in Jurys as its a good price and walkable to most places. Also check out www.laterooms.com. I usually use this to stay when I go to Edinburgh.

We stayed at The George in Edinburgh. Center city, walk to most everywhere, elegant dining room -- you would swear you were on the Titanic. Probably have a web site now.

I stayed in a lovely hotel in Edinburgh called the Point Hotel. It's quite trendy, and not astronomically expensive. The restaurant in the hotel is lovely. We had a suite that had great views of the castle - which was beautiful. It was also within walking distance of Princess Street.
